Dr. Tamás Orosz Receives SAP University Alliances Research Excellence Membership Award

We are proud to announce that Dr. Tamás Orosz, associate professor at the Department of Data Science and Engineering, has received the SAP University Alliances Research Excellence Membership Award at the recent SAP Academic Community EMEA Conference in Athens, Greece (Nov 4–6, 2025). This prestigious recognition honors his outstanding contributions to SAP-related education and research.

Since 2010, Dr. Orosz has been an active member of the SAP University Alliances community, publishing more than 50 international papers and shaping SAP education at ELTE through innovative courses and research at all levels (BSc, MSc, and PhD). He is the author of a comprehensive SAP textbook in Hungarian, the creator of two online courses in English, and the organizer of the first SAP University Alliances CEE Conference at the ELTE Faculty of Informatics in 2023.

To date, he has supervised more than 60 BSc and MSc students who have successfully completed their theses under his guidance. He is currently supervising 10 PhD students.
