V4AI Workshop on AI in Higher Education and Research at AGH University of Kraków

A delegation of our department participated in and presented at the Workshop on AI in Higher Education and Research, held on 29–30 October 2025 at the AGH University of Kraków, Poland.

The event was organized by the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and formed part of the V4AI Project: Improving AI Use in Higher Education and Research Across the Visegrad Region. The workshop brought together experts, educators, and PhD students from Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary), Tomas Bata University in Zlín (Czech Republic), Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (Slovakia), and AGH University of Kraków (Poland) to discuss how artificial intelligence is transforming academic research and teaching.

Arafat Md Easin delivered a talk titled “Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to Enhance Research and Higher Education”, focusing on how RAG-based systems can strengthen academic research workflows, improve access to information, and support AI-driven learning. The workshop offered a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with a diverse and dedicated community committed to the responsible, effective integration of AI into academic environments. Imre Lendák also presented at the event, giving a talk on AI Security Challenges in Higher Education and Research, highlighting emerging risks, trust considerations, and the need for responsible AI governance in academic environments.

We extend our thanks to the organizers and all participants for an inspiring and collaborative event.
